M.E. kommt der wissenschaftliche Anspruch in diesem "Handbuch" teilweise etwas zu kurz. Doch ist dies naturgemäß eine sehr subjektive Sicht der Dinge. Es sollte jedoch nicht-juristischen Autoren mehr Raum eingeräumt werden, da die Mediation nicht eine nur-juristische Angelegenheit ist, sondern gerade von der Verbindung mit anderen Fachgebieten lebt. Auch der Aspekt Verhandlungsführung bzw. -strategie hätte eine stärkere Akzentuierung verdient gehabt. Insgesamt gesehen läßt das Werk kaum Fragen offen und stellt daher eine erfreuliche Neuerscheinung dar. Dieses Buch hat seinen Wert insbesondere darin, daß es meines Wissens die erste Gesamtdarstellung zum Thema Mediation in deutscher Sprache ist.
