First published in 1867, this is the very scarce 'Cheaper Edition', published two years later.This work examines the history of the northern half of the Hundred of Newark, 'and those adjacent parts of Lincolnshire'.In a modern cloth binding, with the publisher's original front and rear paper wraps bound in.With three newspaper clippings tipped in to rear blanks.With a bookplate reading 'L' to the verso of the front wrap, and the stamp of 'G.E. Hewitt' to the following leaf.With an errata leaf.With an alphabetically arranged index to the start of the work, and an appendix to the rear. Rebound in cloth. Externally, fine. With the publisher's original front and rear wraps bound in, with significant handling marks, and minor loss to the head of the front wrap.
