Warmly inscribed first edition of this Art Nouveau-illustrated charming book of poems, with interesting ephemera surrounding an Anna Bird Stewart signing event in 1929. This copy of THE GENTLEST GIANT is a memento of an event that took place in Canon City, Colorado in October 1929. Original blue cloth binding with orange stamping. Original unclipped ($2.00) yellow pictorial dust jacket. Orange topstain, fore-edge machine deckle. Illustrated in black and white. 150 pages, partially unopened. Inscribed by Stewart to Dorothy Quine to front flyleaf, dated October 21, 1929, Canon city. Murray, is a meticulously crafted guide that aims to equip believers with the necessary tools to navigate their spiritual journeys and emerge victorious in their walk with Christ. Each sermon is thoughtfully and prayerfully written to address critical aspects of faith; battling earthly temptations; understanding the power of spiritual warfare; embodying the attributes of a true believer; and discovering the characteristics of a Godly covenant relationship. This classic collection of sermons are categorized into 5 distinct sections: Encouragement, Inspiration, and MotivationThe Character of GodBuilding a Relationship With GodGodly PrinciplesSpiritual WarfareThe journey begins with an exploration of the concept of power - what it means in a spiritual context and how one can harness it for a purposefully driven life. Following this, the reader is introduced to the 'Weapons of Our Warfare, ' a section that meticulously outlines the spiritual armaments God has given everyone to defeat the enemy. This is succeeded by 'Building a Relationship With God, ' an inspiring discourse on cultivating unwavering faith in God's promises. 'Be An Example of the Believer' challenges readers to live lives that reflect the teachings of Christ, serving as beacons of light in a world shrouded in darkness. The section on 'The Power of Seven' and the subsequent references, offer deeper insights and practical applications of these spiritual truths. As you proceed through the book, you will discover an intimate portrait of the author, whose life and experiences form the bedrock of the teachings presented. Prepare yourself for a transformative experience as you embark on this spiritual odyssey, beginning with the robust foundation laid out in the preface and foreword. This book presents reflections of a shepherd: a pastor's journey through God's spoken word. A Christian Bishop and Pastor of more than 40 years.
