No foxing, no previous names, 'This is a collection of stories of youth in Cornwall during the nineteen-twenties and 'thirties between the wars, when the school leaving age was fourteen, and boys worked underground for twenty-five shillings a week. Society was more sharply stratified then than now, according to family, education and occupation, but the author found friends in various strata, from which these stories are drawn. Many black and white illustrations.
