Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Limited Edition. This large hard cover book constitutes a Citizen Proposal to Protect Utah s Canyons and Deserts and it was issued to a select few who contributed to the campaign. Please find a mint copy of: Wilderness at the Edge-A Citizen Proposal to Protect Utah s Canyons and Deserts with an Introduction by Wallace Stegner and a Foreword by Hon. Wayne Owens. This large hard cover book in its custom slipcase (9 ? x 12 ? inches 400 pages plus a tipped-in color map of Utah s Wilderness areas was published by the Utah Wilderness Coalition dated 1990. This particular copy is part of a limited edition of 500 numbered copies and this copy is Number 375. It is hand-numbered and also signed by Stegner and Owens on the first blank page. The book includes a glossy pictorial dust jacket and is contained in a handsome sturdy slipcase. Please see the photo of the Table of Contents for your further information. As you will see the book opens with a series of color photos of the magnificent natural resources of Utah s Canyon Country. It then introduces the overall proposal and argument for the designation of more wilderness areas. Finally, the book presents each of the proposed 42 areas with topo-like maps- some b&w photos and summary descriptions. The book concludes as mentioned with a color map of the Wilderness Areas of the State of Utah. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The slipcase shows some very minor signs of use including faint darkening around the opening and some mottling to the finish of the rear board. The dust jacket has some small indentations on the top edge where it was bumped against (I imagine) its own slipcase. The hard covers are pristine without blemish or wear. Inside the only mark I found in the book was the aforementioned signatures and the hand-written limitation. The interior pages-plates and maps are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.…
