Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. Set in 1798 against the backdrop of the Irish Rebellion, this book transports readers to a tumultuous time through the intertwined lives of Myles Furlong, a blacksmith bound by fosterage to the privileged Butler family, and Evelyn, the daughter of a military colonel. As the conflict es…calates, Myles's divided loyalties are tested, while Evelyn's compassion for the plight of the oppressed challenges her father's iron-fisted authority. The novel delves into themes of identity, justice, and the complexities of family ties, inviting readers to explore the human cost of political upheaval and the powerful bonds forged in the face of adversity.
