This copy belonged to Walter Francis Frear (1863-1948), a judge who served in the Hawaiian provisional government's Supreme Court, as Chief Justice of the Territory of Hawaii's Supreme Court after annexation, and as the Islands' third Territorial Governor, from 1907 to 1913.
