1866, 1st Edition. (12mo, cloth) Very good plus. 575pp. Minor shelf wear to head. Some evidence of moisture to rear board and rear pastedown. Slightly cocked. Former owner's name on endpaper and Contents page. On the whole, nevertheless, a sound and clean copy. A sympathetic rendering of Gypsy history, purporting to demonstrate, among much else, that John Bunyan, of Pilgrim's Progress fame, "was one of this singular people".
