The author (an Edinburgh Dentist and Doctor) was SMO of the 1st Airborn division and was captured after the battle of Oosterbeek/Arnhem then escaped. Includes a short foreword by…HRH Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. Green hardback with gilt titles to spine. Light to moderate foxing to edges. The book is otherwise in very good condition. Price clipped dust jacket in removable protective plastic cover is in good to very good condition with wear and tear and a little loss/chipping to the top of the spine and the bottom of the front panel. Radio Times article about Warrack's return trip to Arnhem years later for the making of a BBC documentary about the battle and his escape is loosely inserted to rear.
