These parlour character/conundrum games were intended to be cut up and handed out to the guests to act out, or otherwise display their chosen character. Robert Warren was a great advertiser, using a wide variety of methods, handbills, posters, cards, newspaper adverts, etc. Each of the rhymes reflects Warren's show blacking. The Folger library has the only other advertising twelfth night sheet traced, also for Warren's, but completely different from this one.
