Quite a fresh copy with only minor corner wear. After a surprisingly long career with the Louisville Colonels, Boston Americans, Chicago White Sox and finally the Washington Senators, Altrock coach…ed the Senator to one World Series title. Fairly uncommon post-War trading card, this accompanied by a matchbook cover featuring Altrock's photograph from a series of "Famous Senators.".

Shanks played the for the Senators for a decade followed by a couple years with the Red Sox, and his final season with the Yankees. He played with the Senators…from 1912-1922 suggesting that the felt is from that era. An very nice tobacco felt.
