Sun-faded spine, rubbed corners and spine ends, front board soiled and stained; light bumping to top front edge, slightly cocked. Text block edges tanning and starting to fox. Previous owner's name on front pastedown, volume a little loose, page margins starting to tan. Otherwise internally neat and clean.

The dust jacket is protected by a plastic slip cover and has some foxing on the back. There is also some foxing on the page edges. The book deals with the development of the A.F.S ( Auxiliary Fire Services) from 1938 to zero hour of September 7th, 1940, and then during the Battle of London, round the docks, through the city and in the West End. Illustrated with b&w photographs.
