Her words are brought to life with the charming pen-and ink illustrations of Danish artist Erik Blegvad. Unpaginated. A FIRST EDITION, first printing, from 1977, SIGNED by the AUTHOR with a personalized inscription in red pen to half-title page, this hardcover small 4to (6.5" x 9.5") has light blue cloth-covered boards lettered in dark green to spine. Very clean, binding strong & straight, pages creamy white & unmarked, but downgraded to only Fair due to significant dampstain to top edges of both boards & interior pages. Stain shows up only very faintly to DJ, which otherwise is clean bright with slight edgewear in the form of rubbing & short tears/tiny chips to top edge, 1 longer tear ascending from back bottom edges; nicely protected in new mylar cover free! with age-appropriate tanning to edges. Boards show slight rubbing to extremities, bumping to both corners & ends of spine. The unclipped DJ is : colorful with edgewear, small chips, short tears; nicely protected in new mylar cover Free!
