Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. No Butter on My Crust. By Travers Watt. The author trained at Hopuhopu camp then Papakura camp. He left from wellington on the SS Orion for Maadi Camp, Egypt. He served as a Driver mechanic, Div Ammo, A Section and while in Egypt he spent 3 months in hospital with severe burns after trying to save a friends life when petrol drums were bombed by Italians trying to blow up the dump. He later went to Greece and was evacuated from D beach on the HMS Calcutta. He then returned to Egypt then back to NZ. After being back in NZ he was called back up and he and around 50 others refused to go back to Egypt so they were dishonourably discharged. Small split to the base of the spine and signed by Watts on the title page.
