Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. First Edition Later Printing. Book #3 in the short-lived (only 4 books) girls' series from the 1930s featuring 16-year-old "aviatrix and adventurer," Dorothy Dixon. Author was the real-life of Lieut. Noel Sainsbury, Jr. who wrote the famous Bill Bolton books for boys, whose characters occasionally make an appearance in these books. From 1933 (printing undetermined), this hardcover is the thinner variant with orange cloth-covered boards lettered & ruled in black to front & spine. Condition is VG: very clean, binding secure, but read hinge is cracked & front one is starting. Pages heavily tanned, commensurate with age & paper quality, but completely unmarked. , hinges intact. The price-clipped DJ is Poor, with many chips & a missing strip along top edge of front & head of spine; what's there is nicely protected in new clear mylar cover.
