. (illustrator). Good: solid and straight; pencilled number in top corner of front cover, else unmarked; bottom half-inch of paper over spine is gone. Still a very good little booklet with remarkable engravings. Paperback, 68 numbered pages including text and engravings; 7 inches tall. Publication date of 1882 is a guess, based on the latest date in the book, the completion of the great tunnel in 1881. The 43 engravings, 25 of them full-page, are positively Gothic in nature. . .
