The author suggests alternate classifications and categorizes abnormal vestibular reactions to various surgical and non-surgical conditions. The author warns that rotation may, under certain conditions, precipitate alarming or even dangerous disturbances, providing examples, and provides a detailed description of the vestibular apparatus in both invertebrates and vertebrates. The text concludes by noting that only by creating a slow, laborious, and uninspiring catalog of vestibular manifestations of various lesions can any real progress be made.
