Through his art work, see Maryland U and Diamondback, for the student newspaper he began to build a reputation. He is best known for his character, Brandy, a curvaceous female who is very erotic when she appears in `Cheesecake and Critters' and very `girl-next-door' when she appears in Liberty Meadows. `Frank' Cho's logo of himself is a monkey and great apes are a large part of his prinmary art themes. THESE 96 pages give us a look at his art // comic // illustration career through the admiring eyes of Mark Schultz, Adam Hughes, Budd Root, Jim Silke and others. Illustrations are mostly in ink and marker - some in colour. Cond : Paper wrapper is green with red and yellow lettering. Front cover (Cho) illustration is from his `Kong Period' and shows a curvey redhead in the arms of a great ape. Volume has French flaps. Not sun faded. Fore points are sli. soft. Light wear and shallow creasing to front cover. No names, marks, tears, stains, nor bumps. Tight in binding. EXCELLENT reading copy. Quote (p. 16) : " to place the syndicated strip in new markets.
