The new underground railway from Dumpton to Ramsgate Sands, Ramsgate, Kent was opened in 1936 and allowed visitors and local people easy access to the Ramsgate Sands and Promenade. The Ramsgate Tunnel Railway Limited constructed a masterpiece of engineering, electrically powered engines pulled their carriages on a two-foot gauge rail from Ramsgate Sands, through an existing tunnel, into a newly excavated tunnel with track leading to Hereson. The last train ran 26th September 1965. A fine copy of a SCARCE first edition. Signed by One Of The Photograph Contributors.
