The book has light foxing on the edges of the pages and the end-papers, minor shelfwear to the edges and corners of both covers, a slightly loose front hinge due to use/age, and a gentle overall aging of the pages, otherwise the book is in very good condition with crisp, unmarked pages and a clean, attractive cover. The dustjacket has rubbing to both covers, shelfwear to the edges of the jacket resulting in multiple crease and small tears, foxing notably on the back cover and fold of the back flap, sunfading to the spine, and two tears approx 1/2 inch each at the bottom edge of the spine where the paper is folded and creased, otherwise the dustjacket is in good condition with an attractive cover image and is now in an archival protective cover.

Printed at the Bruce Burrough Press, San Francisco. **Reminiscences of Chicago-born businessman, rancher and conservationist William Kent (1864-1928), who was perhaps best-known for donating the land which became the redwood forested Muir Woods Nat'l. Monument near San Francisco, California. He also sponsored the bill in Congress which Theodore Roosevelt would eventually sign into law in 1916, creating the National Park Service. The tissue-guarded, labelled silvertone frontispiece photo of Mt. Tamalpais has been attributed to Ansel Adams. The remaining full page photos are offset lithography. Condition: Very Good. Lacking d/j. Library marking at foot of spine in pen, label neatly removed. Ghost of rear pocket glue. Otherwise, the book is quite clean, and features some nice decorative typography on heavy paper which is but gently toned. One notation in pen opposite rear pastedown. OCLC 3138798. Book.
