The book is housed in a contemporary full calf binding that remains structurally sound, though it exhibits external wear typical with its age. The front joint is beginning to crack at the head, and there is visible rubbing to the extremities, bumped corners, and superficial scuffing across the boards. Despite this exterior wear, the spine retains its original dark morocco lettering piece and attractive gilt-tooled compartments, albeit slightly rubbed. Internally, the volume is remarkably crisp; the binding is tight, and the leaves are notably clean and bright with generous margins, showing only the faintest signs of minor marginal toning and occasional scattered foxing.
