Oversize, softcover, 8 x 11" this is a compilation of monthly newsletters produced by Miss Hazel Wilbar and sent to all men and women serving in the armed forces with connections to Gordon, Texas, during World War 11. The first issue is dated April 15, 1942, and the last August 11, 1945. Most issues are about 6 pages including updated addresses of the service personnel, their letters back to Gordon and short articles about happenings in Gordon. This is aboyt as intensive as local history ever gets. There must be other copies of this but I can't find it in any of the Morrison Texana Price Guides and OCLC locates only two copies, both in the Fort Worth Public Library. At a guess, I would say that the book has been produced by photo-lithography and is in very good condition. Language: eng.
