In a red library binding with gilt spine title. Has the usual stamping, labels and pocket. Spine is slanted, page edges dusty, and a spot on page 13. But basically clean and tight. no tears or creases, no markings to text. In the author's introduction he makes a distinction between this "romance" and historical fiction, though Morgan was a real person. Says he wanted 'to write a real story about a real pirate." A cruel man, but an accomplished seaman with some "qualities worthy of admiration.".
