Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. First Thus. "Red Line Edition". Oblong wraps with raised gilt lettering on cover. Un paginated (100 pp). Illustrated from beginning to end with double-page wide-angle, panoramic b/w photos engraved by Moss Photo-Engraving Co. & printed by the A. V. Haight Co. "First Photo-Panorama Of Any River Ever Published". "One Hundred And Fifty Miles Of Continuous Scenery Accurately Represented From Eight Hundred Consecutive Photographs." Note: there not 800 photos in this book, but approx 194 photos. An interesting addition: on the rear blank page is a full scale (to page) pencil sketch of a woman (we guess contemporary to the book). The name, "Harriet Barnett" is written under the drawing. This book is intended to be looked at in both directions, cover to cover depending on the starting point, Albany or New York City. The photos are therefore placed upside down to each other on each page. Points along the river are appropriated identified, such a West Point Military Academy, Storm King, Newburgh, etc. Aside from a few ink marks on one cover & slight abrasion & some soiling to the same, a very good copy of a scarce item.
