Unknown Binding. Condition: Very Good. 5th. William Foster Apthorp was one of the most influential and insightful music critics of his day. Here are nine of his best essays presented in a handsome tan clothcover edition that you are sure to treasure for years to come. The book does have some general shelf wear, including some dirt on the cover and a few marks and cracked hinges inside, but overall it's still in very good condition.

The boards have some wear & some edgewear with bumped corners. The gilt lettering & insignia on the front board is bright & colorful. The backstrip has some soiling and some edgewear on the top & bottom. The gilt lettering on the backstrip has a little wear. The endpapers have light discoloration along the outside edge. The coated page with the portrait has foxing on the front & back which spreads to the facing pages. The leaves are in very good condition with no markings. Ships within 24 hours.
