Signed by author on the title page above his printed name - WH Casterline, Jr. Inscribed to former owner. Tight hardcover in very good condition. Folio 224pp. Burgundy boards with color illustration of original oil painting by Pamela Patrick White of members of the CW Fife & Drum Corps in front of the Powder Magazine at CW. Lots of color & black & white photographs throughout the book. The endpapers have color photographs of the different drums used throughtout the 50 years. The boards have some edgewear with bumped corners - 1 inch along the bottom back board has deeper edgewear. The back board has some pocks & the front & back boards have a couple of scratches - one 1" scratch at the bottom of the front illustration is deeper. The bottom of the backstrip has a little edgewearr. There is a little ink bleed-through on the inside front board & ffep from the author's signature/inscirption.
