Contemporary full leather, spine with gilt rules, and manuscript title "Latin Dictionary" on paper label; remains of larger scale manuscript-titled paper label on front board. Spine rubbed, with loss of up to 3cm at head and up to 3.5cm at foot. Loss along completely split hinges; hinges weak, boards only loosely held. Corners of boards rubbed, with a little loss of hide, otherwise a little bumped and/or curled. No dust jacket. Endpapers missing flyleaves at both front and rear, boards opening at title-page and final page (608). Pastedowns spotted & toned, with four flattened red-wax blobs at front and three at rear; front also with name & address of previous owner, and rear with large-ish brown patch and amateur-ish pencil drawing. Title-page lightly and quite sparsely spotted, final page a little more densely so. Contents otherwise clean and tight. Top edge of text-block dust-marked; other edges lightly age-toned, fore-edge also moderately spotted & handling-marked, and lower edge sparsely spotted. GOOD copy.
