Very good in slightly spine-faded dust-wrapper. A reprint of the revised second edition of 1891, including the catalogue of Greener's shotguns and equipment at the rear. William Wellington Greener lived through the era which saw the development of the bolt-action rifle and the breech-loading shotgun in their modern forms. Greener "devoted himself completely to the development and improvement of the modern breech loading gun. He was quick to recognise, adopt and promote the most up-to-date gunmaking practices. Bold, resourceful, self-opinionated to the point of arrogance in all his writings, W.W. Greener left an indelible imprint on the British gun trade.
