The Emblematical devices and ornaments were designed by Harry Rogers, and engraved by Edmund Evans. From the private library of Charles Benson (remote family connection to William Gilpin) with his bookplate to the front free end paper. The History of Suffolk by Thomas Harral was to be published in parts, but only the first part was ever produced. Certainly uncommon. Binding slightly rubbed and worn. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Annotations in pencil and newspaper clipping pasted to front blank. Some loss to fore margin of page 15, no loss of text. Private ownership. (an44).

Pages are bright and generally clean with some scattered spots, mostly to the plates. Very Good. book.
