This book is from the library of Charles Graham Dunlap, professor of english at KU 1887-1936. He had this fragile paper copy bound in hard boards with a cloth spine…to protect it. (see photos). Book Condition: Near Fine; light age toning to wraps. No DJ. Printed light board wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is securely bayonet stapled; text is secure in binding. 125 pp 8vo. These books were issued monthly under the supervision of W.M. Davidson, the Superintendent of Schools for the City of Topeka to provide special reading of a high order for the use of high schools, teachers, and for select reading. This was one of the four books in Kansas in Literature readings. This book of poetry uses poets and their poetry that has a special connection to Kansas. A clean very presentable copy.
