Signed letter. Condition: Very Good. Two original signed one page letters by Sir William Dawes, the first dated April 11, 1710 to Mr. Warner regarding a payment. The second, also to Mr. Warner is undated. Sir William Dawes, 3rd Baronet ( 1671 ? 1724), was an Anglican prelate. He served as Bishop of Chester from 1708 to 1714 and then as Archbishop of York from 1714 to 1724. Dimensions: 7.25" x 3 both in VG condition. The undated letter is mounted on an album page. Sir William Dawes signed with "Cestrians" describing that he is from Chester which he was the Bishop of. A Cestrian is someone who lives in Chester.
