William Theed, also known as William Theed, the younger 1804-1891 was a British sculptor, the son of the sculptor and painter William Theed the elder (1764-1817). Autograph letter reads, 'Michaelmas Day 1862', to Alfred Denison (possibly the Australian politician), giving details about the progress of his work, Apollo: 'I have been much more successful this time with the marble, the final block having turned out beautifully. I have had a fine carver from Rome employed on it ?' Folds. Size is 180mm x 115mm. Condition is good. Light folding creases. More images can be taken upon request. Ref16884. Signed by Author(s).
