Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. "Simplified Standard Anthems," 1956, consists mostly of hymns, "made practical for volunteer choirs. . . . The range has been reduced (F is the high note) . . . some numbers have been abridged, the demands on the soloist have been lessened." (Large octavo of 96 pp.) "The Three-Part Treble Choir" is a 64-page softcover large octavo, copyright 1935, might be a later printing (not stated), but no later than 1962. Sticker to title page has amended the price to $1.50; rubber-stamp of the Hunleth Music Co., St. Louis, has also been added. The stiff brown wraps of our third booklet, "Sacred Quartets" (32 pp., 1909) have been secured to the text block with what appears to be "Scotch Magic" clear plastic tape, grade this one "good." Three songbooks of similar size, combined into a lot to consolidate shipping charge, the group bow reduced from $30.

Paperback. Condition: Good. First published in 1966, Konrad Lorenz's On Aggression was a bestseller, a critical success, and ultimately, brought its author the Nobel Prize. Asking the fundamental question: What is the nature of aggression?, Lorenz examines a vast and colorful range of groups and situations, including the democratic and indecisive societies of schools of fish, the violent clannishness of rats, superstitious birds, how dogs greet each other after a long separation, and the soap-opera worthy lives of his famous subjects, the greylag geese. He also draws on his own experience as a prisoner of war in Russia during WWII. Bibliography. 306p.
