Includes 'America's Newest Narcotic' by William Alexander (dealing with Peyote) and 'Deadlier than Dillinger' by Edwin V. Burkholder (Pretty Boy Floyd) which is illustrated by Meese who also did the front cover.

Violet silk-covered binding, with printed paper title label on the spine, and with a Mina Yamashita drawing mounted in a recessed section of the front cover, with matching violet ties, lilac endpapers. The book is bound with a box attached to the back, when this is opened, it reveals the colored silk bas relief with the raised figures of a raccon and an owl, and a moon in gold leaf. [Colophon]: "Printed on Crosspoint Passport Talc, an acid-free, 50% recycled paper with handmade Japanese end papers and silk charmeuse cover binding Published in a limited, numbered edition of 200 copies, hand-bound and signed by the artists, and a special, numbered edition of 10 copies, with a bas relief of hand-dyed silk and gold leaf. Sam: printed title-page, 15 pp., Maria: printed title-page, 13 pp. + signed limitation page; texts printed in blue and violet inks (A dialogue & interior monologue, by both 'Sam' & 'Maria). The binder/clam shell box is covered in yellow cloth with a printed title label on the spine, dark blue endpapers, thin, black silk ties (which appear to be partly worn off in this copy).
