Im vorliegenden Bericht werden ausgehend von einer umfassenden Lageanalyse die Konfliktfelder sowie Risiken und Chancen der Waldnaturschutzpolitik dargestellt und Vorschläge für die Ausgestaltung eines künftigen naturschutzpolitischen Instrumentariums gemacht. Im Zentrum steht hierbei die Gute fachliche Praxis in der Forstwirtschaft. Neben einer Betrachtung der rechtlichen Grundlagen dieses Instruments werden Vorschläge für die naturschutzpolitische Steuerung gegeben.
