DJ appears AS NEW but there may be a few tiny corner creases. Includes a list of abbreviations, appendices, list of maps & illus, notes & index. Illus w 6 f/o color maps, map eps, 18 b/w full p maps & many photos. Classic work on WWI Canadian airmen. Examines Canadian military airpower from before 1914 to 1920 & the first steps toward formation of RCAF. TP inscription: "To Mel Alexander with much respect and admiration Syd Wise". Alexander was a WWI ace from Toronro who flew mostly Sopwith Camels. In WWII he was a general. Laid in is a copy of a note, dated 1986, to Alexander writing, in part, "No doubt you could still do credit to the Black Flight". AS NEW book, FINE DJ(in Brodart). 1st ed. SIGNED & inscribed tp.
