Chapter headings include; Intelligence an Element of a Successful Life, Energy an Element of Distinction, Industry The Highway To Success, Harmony of Character, Vice and Its Allurements, Courtship and Marriage. One of the more than 40 books written by Rev. Wise. 255 pages, 5" X 7". Dark green cloth covered boards. Title and a grape motif design on the spine panel in gold. Textured cover boards, with a Victorian style design on both the front and back panels. Some fading to the design and lettering on the spine though the design and title is entirely legible. No dust jacket, though it most likely was not issued with one. Some slight wear to the edges of the head and heel of the spine panel and tips of the corners. Boards have some slight rubbing wear, faint staining. Former owner's bookplate label on the front paste-down, about 3" X 1-1/2". But no further ownership marks besides that, and no writing on the text pages. Areas of age tanning to the text pages throughout the book. Spots of tanning to the edges of the text block. Sewn binding is entirely intact and tight. This copy is not a library discard. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory.
