Green cloth boards with gilt spine lettering and the front cover label present; the spine is faded and shows whitening along the edges and joints, and the top corner of the front board is worn with some fraying of the cloth. Scattered light soiling and minor scuffing across the front cover. Pages are evenly yellowed and toned throughout, as expected at seventy-five years old, and there is a pencil scribble in the upper right corner of the title page. Beyond that the interior is clean in the pages photographed - no highlighting, no underlining, no loose or missing leaves. The alphabetical thumb-index tabs are intact and legible on the page edges, and the binding is tight and holding well for its age.
