Internally near fine and fr…ee of inscriptions; profusely and beautifully illustrated with 55 colour plates each with a titled tissue guard; one plate called for is missing but this is almost certainly a printer's omission as all the illustrations are in such fine condition; binding tight; title page in red and black; hardly any foxing and unusually none to the tissue guards; small mark to the margin of two plates; marbled end paper; top edges gilt, others semi-trimmed; ix + 237pp. A most desirable copy.
