Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. The Robert E. Howard story for this issue is "The Thing on the Roof," identified as "A shuddery tale of an old, legend-haunted tomb in Honduras, and the doom that pursued the man who opened it." Condition: Front and back covers are intact and firmly attached, along with the spine, which is unfaded but shows wear. Front and back cover edgewear is minimal, most evident at the bottom, which is untrimmed. 'Complimenary Copy' in large block letters is stamped across the front, which carries a C.C. Senf portrait of a helpless, topless damsel being prepared for display on a cross by figures clad in red robes. The spine has a split at the top, bisecting the date, and has separated along the front cover hinge in the same area for about 2 inches. Three pieces of tape cross the spine and extend onto the front and back covers. The tape pieces on the white areas of the ad on the back cover have browned, and soiling appears there as well. (See alll photos of the covers and spine.) The top corner of the back cover and 28 interior pages are bumped, while the rest of the pages carry a mild crease. Bottom pages tips are rounded. Interior pulp pages have toned but are still supple and firm, with no coupons clipped. C.C. Senf (cover) (illustrator). Softcover.…
