Published in Chicago for the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Nebraska Edition). This issue is notable for its article "Yankees - The Wonder Team", by Albon Holden. The three-page article includes statistics and photographs of the '39 Yankees, in what would turn out be Lou Gehrig's last year. An uncommon article just waiting for a home on your New York Yankees bookshelf. The covers shwo light edgewear with a crease to the upper front corner. A mailing label appears on the rear cover, which also has a 1/4" edge tear. A clean, tight copy. Scarce. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Original Wrappers. Condition: Very Good binding. Octavo. [12] pp., illus, adverts. As issued, stapled in printed wrappers. Light wear, but generally, quite nice. The Triple-A Yankee affiliate played in Richmond, VA at Parker Field from 1954-1964. After a year without a team, the Richmond Braves played in Parker Field and then The Diamond for more than 40 years. Score card against the Toronto Maple Leafs is not filled in. Local advertisements throughout. The Leafs were managed by the 1963 season by now Hall of Fame manager, Sparky Anderson. Notables on the roster include Ozzie Virgil, Sr. who was the first Dominican major leaguer. This is signed by Toronto's Bill Kunkel, Carl Bouldin, and Ken Hamblin. Kunkle had a short career in the majors but was an umpire from 1968 to 1984, officiating in the 1974 and 1980 World Series, several ALCSs, and two All-Star Games, one of which was behind the plate. Bouldin and Hamblin had fairly short careers in the majors. Signed.

IEdges slightly curled, light to moderate general wear, in the 1960 series the Pirates would beat the Yankees in seven games, thanks to a homer by Bill Mazeroski in the nine inning of game seven. Featured players include Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Bobby Richardson, Bill Mazeroski, and Roberto Clemente.
