Hardcover. Condition: Good. Tan covers with black illustration and titles to front. Gilt titles to spine which shows slight shelf wear.Tissue guarded frontis. There is quite a lot of foxing, mainly to the early pages but all the illustrations are clean and bright as they are on a different paper. One illustration loose.212pp plus 4pp pub. cat.

Scarce; First Illustrated Edition; reddish brown cloth; lettering in gilt on spine; gilt is bright; lettering in black on front cover; cover design in black of horse drawn cab with driver at back with whip; 212 pp. followed by 4 pp. of ads; all 12 full page illustrations including frontispiece are present in excellent condition; some light pencil marginalia on several pages; attractive binding; many of the Pinch, and Pinch Potty & Co., and Mr. Nutts stories were published in "The Idler" 1906 and The Red Magazine 1909-1911.

Red boards with black titles and illustration to front, titles in gilt and black illustration of character's face to spine, cream epps, b&w frontispiece with tissue paper guard, 212pp, four pages of advertisements to rear, 11 b&w sketches. Corners are bumped, edges worn, head and tail of spine, slightly worn, epps partially split along spine but covers are attached and secure, offsetting to epps, slight foxing to edges and throughout, signature of previous owner and date 1906 to front paste down in neat black ink . Overall, a very good copy of this scarce book.
