One of XII copies, this one No. V. 17 original photographs taken by YGR of the band's concert at the Hallenstadium in Zürich on the 29th of June 1980. All of the photos size A3, signed, titled and numbered by the photographer and contained in a folder 33.3 by 44cm. The photographs were taken at the Hallenstadion in Zürich during one of Led Zeppelin s last concerts on the 29th of June in 1980. They have never been printed before. Taken with a slides film the ASA of which was ramped up in the developing process in order to be able to take pictures without having to use any flashlight. We have had to scan the images, because the technique to develop photographs from slides directly, does not exist any longer. The scans, however, are of excellent quality, so that even poster size prints (70 by 100cm and larger ones) come out really beautiful. No photoshopping whatsoever. The photographs offered here for sale have been printed by Remo Eyer Fine Art Print in Zürich on size A3 (297 by 420mm) Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta 325 gsm. Each photograph is limited to 12 copies; numbered (I-XII), titled, signed and dated by the photographer in pencil at the bottom of the back. In addition, three copies lettered Y, G and R of the complete series have been printed, containing the original slides (copy Y) and a memory stick with the high resolution scans of the slides (copies Y, G and R). The lettered copies are not for sale. Should you only be interested in individual prints, please get in touch with us. Widmung des Verfassers.

This is Copy "P" of the 26 lettered copies and bears the title: "till human voices wake us and we drown". The Mind Rags is a series of twenty-six paintings lettered from A to Z in reverence of the glorious achievements of Literature in English. Executed in monochrome, they reflect their subject: black ink on paper, triggering the imaginative colours of and echoing the sound waves in the mind. The paintings present themselves like opened books. A line from the book of reference gives the artwork its title. Materials used in the series are canvas and silicone rubber: old and new. Also, this choice allows for both sides to be completely different and still create a unity. Though the canvases could be framed to show both sides, the artist has chosen to hide one in order to simulate a reader's experience of uncharted country upon turning a page. Framed in hand-made dark anthracite wood, the paintings honour the idea of the ship, its sail, its people, and the voyage. It is the aim of the artist to see the world as in perpetual chaos; with any book giving it a certain order through different ages: surfacing, time and again, caressingly. You can download a catalogue of all the works (still) available to date at ygrbooks. Signatur des Illustrators.
