Hardcover. Condition: VG-. No Jacket. Yohn, Frederick C. (illustrator). First Thus. Author's First Novel, set in the Yukon, which would continue to figure prominently in his later boos. Orig. published by Lippincott in 1902, this is the First Grosset & Dunlap reprint (First, thus). Small octavo (5.25" x 7.75") has olive green cloth over boards, lettered in black to front & spine, with a design in black, red, & white to front board. In 334 pages, with glossy frontispiece + 3 glossy internal illustrations by Frederick C. Yohn. Condition is VG-: generally quite clean, with some mild spotting to upper fore edge side of pages toward rear. Pages moderately tanned, completely unmarked save for old gift inscription dated 1916 to recto of frontispiece; binding split here & reglued, rest of text block & hinges secure. NO DJ.
