[York PA Primary account of a massive depression-era flood during the Roosevelt administration.] Newspaper from York describing the massive flood damage from the Chesapeake-Potomac hurricane. The York flood destroyed over 45 bridges. It severely impacted the Codorus Creek area, forcing major flood control improvements like the Indian Rock Dam. 17 inches total, with 5 inches in a single afternoon fell during the flood. The paper is in good condition. It is folded in half and two times and held in a plastic mylar folder. There is a very small tear at the fold, but generally very good condition.
