Condition: Wie neu. 230 S., Seideneinband (!), neuwertig! - Eleonore Füssli (18741941) war die Tochter des Schweizer Malers Wilhelm Heinrich Füssli und der Emma von Möllenbeck, Hofdame am Karlsruher Hof des badischen Großherzogs. In erster Ehe war sie mit Werner Hermann von Siemens, dem einzigen Sohn des Carl von Siemens, verheiratet, dessen früher Tod sie bereits 26-jährig zur Witwe werden ließ. In Rom lernte sie den persischen Prinzen Freydoun Malcom Khan kennen, doch die 1905 geschlossene Ehe hielt nur wenige Jahre. Vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg geriet sie zu Unrecht in Italien unter den Verdacht, eine deutsche Spionin zu sein. Der General Luigi Fecia di Cossato duellierte sich als väterlicher Freund um ihre Ehre und wurde bald darauf ihr dritter Ehemann. Sein Tod machte Nora Füssli 1921 zum zweiten Mal zur Witwe. Der Kontakt zur Familie von Siemens war nie abgebrochen und so kamen sich Werner Ferdinand von Siemens, Enkel des Werner von Siemens, und Nora näher und sie heirateten 1923. Ihr großes gemeinsames Interesse galt der Musik. Werner Ferdinand starb 1937. Nora verbrachte ihre letzten Lebensjahre in zunehmend schlechter Gesundheit in München, wo sie 1941 starb. Die Autoren zeichnen das bewegte Leben der Nora Füssli in dieser Biographie einfühlsam nach und vermitteln zugleich ein Bild der Zeit zwischen der Schweiz, Italien und Deutschland.…
