Previous owner's gift inscription, dated 1939, inked to front flyleaf, and previous owner's pictorial bookplate laid in (with corresponding residue to front pastedown). Modest shelf-wear and -soil; Very Good. Text explores Grey's adventures capturing swordfish and tuna, with illustrations from photographs taken on his trip and artwork by Phares. [88131].

Small quarto (27cm); navy blue cloth, titled in gilt on spine and front cover; green topstain; pictorial endpapers; [xii],203,[3]pp, with 90 illustrations by Frank Phares (86 of them are halftone plates). Lacks three halftone plates (xxxiii, xxxiv, xl), topstain dulled, a few scuffs to spine, with scattered foxing to endpapers, text edges, and plate margins; hinges sound; just Very Good, lacking the dustjacket.
