The present edition of Spoken Cree is a revision and expansion of the trial material prepared for the Department of Missions of the Anglican Church of Canada (M.S.C.C.). The course, based on the concept of language as an integral part of culture, and of a given language as a level of behaviour patterning within any given cultural community, makes full use of methods of language pedagogy designed to develop new sets of such learned behaviour habits. The course is designed for use with either recordings, or a native speaker of Cree as a model, or both.
