Encuadernación de tapa dura. Condition: Muy bien. Folio. #1 Jul 1969 - #44 Jan/Feb 1976. (Complete set). Bound in full green cloth. Collaborators : Santiago Funes, Horacio Ciafardini, Oscar Terán, Eliseo Verón, Guillermo Schavelzon, Cristina López Meyer, Isabel Carballo, Marcelo Díaz, Manuel Amigo, Jorge Brega, Among others.Los Libros was a key forum in the dispute over the ways of the revolution and above all for the university transformation in the midst of what was considered as the crisis of the Argentine and Latin American universities. Regarding the importance assigned to the university, Carlos Altamirano, one of the directors of Los Libros, underlines in a note that the number dedicated to the university quickly ran out and that in it Beatriz Sarlo had written an article about Argentine literature programs, which helped the students of Philosophy and Letters to challenge, argue, and get involved. Unlike the magazine Crisis, Los Libros produced articles or papers or dossiers that were used for university debate, the magazine is a "criticism of ideology". This will be the framework from which it promotes the systematic criticism of bibliographic novelties - especially, the renewal of Marxist readings according to the structuralist matrix -, deals with the problems of literary criticism that emerged in those years and attends to the agenda of problems pointed out by the national left. Los Libros was addressed to a university reader, not only because of the titles it reviewed but also because of the books it published and the style of the advertisements. The numerous advertisements from printers, paper companies and distributors, such as Librecol and DER, were joined by central publishers of the new Argentine left, such as Jorge Álvarez, Tiempo Contemporáneo and Galerna -the publishing house that also financed Los Libros- and advertisements from large publishers, such as Sudamericana, Monte Avila and Amorrurtu. As the numbers went by, important announcements from the university publishers of Chile, Venezuela and Mexico were added, as well as correspondents in several countries. Undoubtedly, the Argentine and Latin American readers of Los Libros had gone through the university or studied there. Both that readership and the collaborating team were made up of university women. And although Los Libros did not allocate a space for reflection to the problem of women, they participated alongside men - whose firms were the majority -, as correspondents, literary critics and editors of political, sociological and psychoanalytic articles. The magazine is raided and closed in May 1976 by the military government. Tarcus p56. CodZ.

Encuadernación de tapa blanda. Condition: Muy bien. Folio. #1 Mar 1978 - #90 Apr 2008. (Complete set). Wrappers. #11 in facsimil. Collaborators : José Aricó, Oscar Terán y Juan Carlos Portantiero, entre otros. Más adelante, se sumarían Raúl Beceyro, Jorge Dotti y Rafael Filipelli, Federico Monjeau, Adrián Gorelik y Ana Porrúa, Carlos Altamirano, María Teresa Gramuglio, Hugo Vezzetti, Hilda Sabato, Ricardo Piglia, Among others. Punto de Vista was published in Buenos Aires between 1978 and 2008. In thirty years it became the flagship magazine of Argentine intellectual thought, through the publication of articles on literary and cultural criticism, social and political theory, psychoanalysis, philosophy, sociology, urban culture studies, cultural history and intellectual history. Punto de vista appeared almost clandestinely in March 1978, in the midst of a situation of absolute repression and censorship. Along with the demolition of the democratic foundations of the weak republic, and with a disastrous economic plan, came the destruction of the leftist intellectual field. In this framework the magazine appeared, and starting from literary criticism, resistance and denunciation of this context was raised, and it tried to reconstruct the intellectual field of the left. To carry it out, he took the conceptual instruments of the sociology of culture (P. Bourdieu), cultural criticism (W. Benjamin, T. Eagleton), and cultural history (R. Williams). After the Process, the magazine considers other purposes, which complement the previous ones: using the same theoretical-methodological corpus, the novels written during and after the Process are analyzed, reading in them the references to reality (the relationship between literature and history). The function of criticism after the last dictatorship lays its foundations in cultural history and criticism, to keep alive the memory of what happened in the recent past. In April 2008 the last issue of the magazine was published. Taking to the extreme the modernist sobriety that characterized the aesthetic and ideological positions of the magazine throughout its three decades of existence, its cover announced, in a concise and forceful way, with a typeface that imitated a template or a stencil, "30 years / 90 numbers / END". Tarcus p71. Codz.

In the mid-1980s, upon their return from Mexican exile, José Aricó and Juan Carlos Portantiero proposed, along with other intellectuals with whom they formed the Club of socialist culture a reassessment of the link between socialism and democracy and, consequently, a rereading of the history and traditions of the Argentine left. The quoted words illuminate the meaning of the commitment they made in the 1980s: renew the traditions of an Argentine left that they considered stagnant. The assertion that democracy was a constitutive part of socialism opened itself to criticism from the bets of the revolutionary left; and also to the rereading and recovery of the socialist tradition of the beginning of the 20th century and of the "old Socialist Party", a reinterpretation that linked to the commitment to found a "democratic and modern left". La Ciudad Futura It discusses the revision of the link between socialism and democracy; it gives an account of their criticism to the positions of the revolutionary left; and reconstructs their reading of the socialist tradition of the old Partido Socialista, to which proposses to link with the founding of a democratic left .In his search for building a critical piece of land and for the proximity of many of the intellectuals who participated in it with the government of Alfonsín is that La Ciudad Futura was forced to affirm from the outset moment that «we are not Alfonsinists, nor radicals, nor social democrats. We are simply socialists who have a shared conviction. Yeah Although they emphasized a point of convergence with the government, they sought, as any magazine of intellectuals, maintain an autonomous look. However, According to Beatriz Sarlo, this did not seem like an easy undertaking. Tarcus p77 only quotes 54 issues. CodZ.
