Preface by John Arlott. A book full of sage advice and unusually good cricket humour. SIGNED "With best wishes, Eileen & John Hollands" on title page, assuming for this purpose that this was written by the author herself. Front cover chipped and book must have suffered some sort of inappropriate attention as from front cover onwards for several pages the bottom right corner has been badly bent or creased. There is some contention about the true first edition. The tales in this collection were first published in the late 1920s. There is a scarce first edition, published in 1954 by Bantam Books.
